October updates

How is your trip to the moon going? This month we saw crypto getting to all time highs, and this is just the beginning. But it's not only crypto, the stock market is also growing at an incredible rate, and you can now monitor US stocks directly in Bitfolio! Let's take a step back and see what's new in Bitfolio, and then touch on what's coming next.

What's new

We've released new features over the last few months, here is a recap: News sources You can now select multiple news sources. Just tap the options icon next to the News title section and enable as many sources as you want. If you would like us to add more sources, it's possible to do it directly from the app. US stocks watchlist You read it right, you can now search US stocks and follow them. We have a beautiful new section, where you will be able to quickly see the stock prices and their daily change. Tapping on an item will open the stock view where you can see much more details about it, including historic prices. And finally, you can customize the stock color, in the same way it's possible to customize crypto colors. UI tweaks We have made many small tweaks in the user interface, including better colors (more vivid), better use of space and more iOS 15 rounded corner styling. It's also possible to drag and drop items to reorder them, instead of moving them up/down one by one!

What's coming

We have a big plans for the future, and you might have guessed what's next already:

  • Track your stocks assets in portfolio

  • Better portfolio insights (more graphs and more data!)

  • Track unlisted companies and assets (like cars, art, houses, etc)

and this is just the beginning, our goal is to be your favorite dashboard for your wealth. Knowing where your money are, what is making you money or losing money, we hope will help you grow your wealth. The best part of it? Everything is 100% private, just available in your device (and iCloud if enabled).

One tip, and some apologies

First one some apologies: we released an update that crashed at startup for some users. A new version is already available and addresses the issue. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding. So what's the tip? You can backup your portfolio transactions to CSV format. We recommend you to do it every once in a while if you don't have device sync turned on and to save the file on another device or on a cloud service. This will allow you to recover your data in case your device is lost/stolen/broken. To do this, just open your portfolio, tap the plus to add a new transaction, then at the bottom tap on "Import/Export transactions", choose "Export" and select where to save the file.
